JEB Technologies.

He just gets it.

JEB Technologies design and manufacture medical devices in Mildenhall, Suffolk. Class 1 through to Class 3. Highly regulated, ISO 13485, MDR compliant, the sort of work where a single missed detail in a hire can cost you months.

We have been their recruitment partner for seven years.

The situation

Before JEB started working with us, they were leaning on job boards. Applicants showed up. The right ones did not. Medical device hiring is a niche inside a niche. You need engineers who understand regulatory frameworks, R&D pace, and the discipline that comes with safety-critical product development. That talent pool does not browse Indeed.

What we did

We headhunted. Across seven years we have placed Mechanical Design Engineers, Project Engineers, Project Managers, Technical Documentation Engineers, and Quality Engineers. Every one of them brought specific medical device experience and an understanding of the regulatory environment JEB operates in.

The thing that keeps the relationship working is the shorthand. Sean does not have to walk us through what JEB needs every time. He picks up the phone, names the role, and we go.

In Sean's words

'What I appreciate about working with Andy is that I don't have to spend time explaining what I need. I can call him up, tell him I need a Design Engineer, and he just gets it. His genuine interest in medical devices, R&D, and innovation means he's technically minded, especially when it comes to ISO 13485 and MDRs. That level of understanding makes all the difference.'

Why it works

There is a difference between a recruiter who knows your sector and one who knows your business. Sean does not have to explain ISO 13485 to us. He does not have to explain what good looks like at JEB. That is seven years of context doing the work for him every time he hires.
